Privacy policy

MiniPress values the privacy of customers, suppliers and website visitors. This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected in line with POPIA and related South African law.

What we collect when you deal with MiniPress

MiniPress collects personal information that you share when you place an order, request support, ask for a callback through the enquiry form on our contact page, or deal with our Cape Town base in Paarden Eiland. This may include your name, delivery address, contact details, order history and notes about product support or service requests. We may also collect technical information such as device type, browser details and site activity to keep the online service working properly.

Where a purchase or support request relates to delivery in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, George, Stellenbosch or Somerset West, we may use the details needed to complete that service. We only collect what is reasonably needed for the purpose at hand.

Why we use your information

We use personal information to process orders, arrange delivery, provide setup guidance, handle returns or repairs, and respond to product questions. It also helps us manage stock movement, dispatch, customer records and after-sales support for home juicers and cold presses. Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd acts as the operator of this site and processes information on MiniPress instructions where needed.

  • To confirm and fulfil orders
  • To arrange delivery to the relevant area
  • To provide support with cleaning, seals, screens, leaks or noise checks
  • To send order updates and service communications
  • To meet accounting, tax and legal duties

When information may be shared

MiniPress does not sell personal information. We may share limited details with service providers that help us run the business, such as delivery teams, payment processors, technical support partners and storage or accounting providers. These parties may only use the information for the service they perform for us, and they are expected to keep it secure.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, lawful request from a public authority, or where needed to protect our rights, customers or operations. Any transfer is limited to what is necessary.

How we keep records safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to staff and service providers who need the information to do their work, including team members in sales, operations, dispatch and customer care.

Information is kept for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for the period required by law. Records may be retained for accounting, warranty support, dispute handling or compliance purposes, then securely deleted or archived where appropriate.

Cookies, site use and log details

When you visit the site, certain data may be collected automatically through cookies or similar tools. This can include pages viewed, time spent on the site, location at a general level, and the way a visitor moves through the pages. That information helps us keep the site working, measure performance and improve the way customers find product and support details.

  • You can adjust cookie settings in your browser
  • Some site functions may not work properly if cookies are blocked
  • We do not use browsing data to identify you unless it is linked to a form submission or order record

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to ask whether we hold personal information about you, to request access to that information, and to ask for correction where it is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. You may also object to certain processing where the law allows it, or request deletion where there is no legal reason to keep the record. Some requests may be limited by tax, accounting or other legal duties.

To exercise these rights, please send your request through the enquiry form on our contact page. Before we can act, we may need to check that you are the person concerned. If you think your details were not handled correctly, you may ask us to review the matter.

Changes to this privacy policy

MiniPress may revise this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, business practice or service arrangements. The version posted on the site at the time will apply from that date. It is your responsibility to review the policy occasionally so that you know how your information is handled.

By using the site or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed as set out in this policy and in line with South African law.
